With the new Honor 10, Honor has released an innovative product for mobile AI photography. With the new semantic image division, the device can categorize and best represent different objects in a photo. If, for example, a person in front of the Grand Canyon is photographed in bright sunshine, the Honor 10 recognizes thanks to AI the elements “person”, “landscape” and “sky” in the picture. These parts are then processed individually and reassembled to a better photo.
“We have always emphasized that the mobile segment will be essential for photokina in the future,” commented Christoph Werner, Vice President Koelnmesse. “Camera technology in smartphones has reached an astonishing standard and is therefore an boon for the entire imaging industry. We are pleased that Honor, one of the technology leaders in this segment, will present its products and innovations at photokina.”
For many customers, the camera function has become crucial for the purchase of a new smartphone. Many manufacturers therefore see the photo function as an important feature for which they use particularly innovative technologies.
