CES remains a trade-only event and is not open to the general public. Industry professionals may register in advance to ensure quicker review time and processing on-site. For general attendees, registration is US$100 through December 20 and will increase to US$300 on December 21. More than 25 locations throughout Las Vegas are designated for badge pickup, including key locations at McCarran International Airport, official show hotels and exhibit venues.
New for CES 2017, all registrants will be asked to provide their date of birth during the registration process. As part of enhanced security measures, this is a required registration field and must be completed to fully process a CES registration submission, the organizers said, emphasizing DOB information will not be shared with third parties, but only with government agencies in charge of guests’ security. For 2018, CES also plans to require a photo as part of the registration process.
