"The LifePics integration will offer our customers the ability to pick up their prints, within approximately an hour, at local merchants, as an alternative to ordering them online and awaiting delivery," said David Duquette, CEO of dotPhoto. "We expect to add additional photo products and merchandise to the local-pickup capability, as we get a better understanding of our customers’ needs in this area."
Prior to this integration, dotPhoto focused on providing a place for digital photographic memoir creation. This latest innovation takes those memoirs to the next level through printing and preservation, and creates another revenue stream for retailers in the LifePics Network. Customers can order prints, photo books, personalized greeting cards, and thousands of other personalized photo products for in-store pick up, often in as little as one hour.
"We’ve always looked at dotPhoto as a desired partner, as their innovative platform and company vision aligns with ours," said Vahe Christianian, Vice President of Business Development at LifePics. "This partnership is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, and are thrilled to be providing our services and technology to dotPhoto, as well as generating new business for retailers in our Network."
