The 58-year-old Kojima spent 35 years with Olympus in a number of increasingly responsible positions. In 1995, he became the founding General Manager of the Digital Imaging Division at Olympus and developed the division’s first business plan and led the company successfully into the digital camera business. He also directed research and development of key new products and helped develop the worldwide digital camera market as a whole.
In 2001, Kojima was appointed Executive Officer and Group Vice President of Olympus’ Imaging Systems Groups. At Kodak, Kojima will be sharing responsibility for all manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing of Kodak’s EasyShare line of consumer digital cameras. He will be based in Yokohama, Japan.
