Jasco acquires Burrell Professional Labs

Headquartered in Rochester, NY, Jasco is a privately held group comprising a wide variety of businesses that provide high-quality products and services to commercial, industrial and consumer markets worldwide. Jasco President and Chief Operating Officer Gene Baldino said Burrell, one of the nation’s leading independent professional photo/imaging lab labs, fits his company’s profile of a prime business opportunity: a business in an evolving industry.

Kodak acquired Burrell earlier this year as part of an agreement with founder Don Burrell, who was retiring. At the time, Kodak announced its intention to sell the business to a third party as soon as practical.

Founded in 1960 by Don Burrell, Burrell Professional Labs is a leading independent professional lab business primarily serving wedding and portrait photographers. Based in Crown Point, IN, Burrell is well known for its quality images, personalized customer service and innovative marketing. Its national network of labs offers both film-based and digital imaging products and processes.

Jasco will add a strong business structure with an emphasis on operational and production effectiveness to this strength, said Baldino said.
