HP names Linda Dillman Senior Vice President of Global Information Technology

Dillman most recently was executive vice president of benefits and risk management for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Other roles she has held with the retailer include chief information officer, vice president of applications development, where she led systems conversions for the company’s acquisition of ASDA in the United Kingdom, and vice president of international systems. She joined Wal-Mart in 1991 through the acquisition of The Wholesale Club in Indianapolis, and before that worked for five years at HP as a computer operator.

A recognized IT and business leader, Dillman has been named one of Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business each year from 2003 to 2007. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the University of Indianapolis Distinguished Alumni Award in 2003, Information Systems Executive of the Year at Loyola College in 2004, University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business Women in Leadership Award in 2005 and Computerworld’s 2006 Information Leadership Award. “Linda is an exceptional leader who makes a great addition to the global IT team for HP,” said Mott. “She has broad IT and business experience, from integrations related to acquisitions to aligning global applications development to business priorities, and a passion for serving customers.”

Dillman joins a strong, established global IT leadership team that recently accomplished its three-year global transformation plans on time and budget. The diverse team includes senior IT executives from a range of industries and Fortune 50 companies, with most having been on board since the IT organization began its transformation in 2005.
