gamescom 2019 with indie village

The central element of the indie village is the Indie Arena Booth, which has been one of the highlights for many gamescom visitors for years now. Partner of the indie village is The MIX! With a special event, this successful international format offers participants in the indie village an additional stage and a presence that attracts attention.

According to a press release, more than 140 independent developers will be represented in the gamescom indie village. More than 100 games can be seen in the Indie Arena Booth alone. In addition to an expanded offering revolving around the theme of indie games, visitors in hall 10.2 can also look forward to a stage programme coordinated especially for indie fans.

gamecom’s indie village will host Europe’s very first Media Indie Exchange (The MIX) showcase event this year starting at 7 pm on Tuesday, 20 August.   This area at Koelnmesse will be open exclusively for press and industry guests before broader general admission begins to provide for more focused time with the games and developers, and will include a curated group of up to 50 stand out games called The MIX Selects. All teams in the indie village can share their games with guests during this event.
