After the cancellation of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Corona Virus has now caused another casualty among the technology fairs: In Japan, the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA) canceled the CP+ photo fair, which was scheduled to take place in Yokohama from February 27 to March 1. Since there are currently no effective treatment options for the viral disease, the organizers said in a press release they do not want to take any risks to the health of visitors and exhibitors.

As a consumer fair, the CP + had the purpose to enable customers to touch and try out the latest cameras and accessories, CIPA added. With an expected number of 70,000 visitors, a risk of infection could not be be completely eliminated.
