“In the 2010 sustainability report, we formulated certification to ISO 14001 as a target for 2011 with regard to increasing the company’s environmental performance,“ explained Cewe Color Board Member, Andreas F. L. Heydemann, who is responsible for matters of sustainability. “I am delighted that we have achieved this target. All our other facilities in Germany and abroad will follow by the end of 2013.”
Cewe Color’s environmental management system provides for an ongoing improvement process in which the company documents compliance with the legal regulations and defines binding guidelines for occupational safety, water protection, energy management and resource-conserving corporate leadership. In summer 2012, Cewe will present its third sustainability report to illustrate the progress that has been made by the company in economic, ecological and social aspects. In compiling the data, Cewe Color will orient itself to the sustainability guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative.
