Business Forum Imaging Cologne 2013 to focus on smart imaging

The two-day conference will feature an interesting program of top-class speakers who will illuminate aspects of the imaging market and present new business models. Speakers from Germany and abroad will be among the experts presenting their ideas. For example, the American analyst Hans Hartman, owner of the market research company Suite48 Analytics, will present a new study that shows how customers use apps to design and order high value-added imaging products on their smartphones and tablets. Hartman surveyed users of these apps in order to find out which apps offer especially interesting possibilities and which ones function less well.

Under the title ”The Smart Imaging Market”, the German expert Heino Hilbig (Mayflower Concepts) will ask the question “How far are we from our goal?” He will present ideas about the best strategies for winning new customers for the field of photography and for making the products and services in the imaging sector attractive to the networked user.

Till Haunschild (Onepastfive GmbH) will give a talk about his extensive experience with digital media and social networks. He established a worldwide reputation with his Facebook project Pic Scatter, which quickly attracted more than six million users including large companies such as RCR Records, Nike and Project C. At the Business Forum Imaging Cologne 2013, Haunschild will present a new concept for navigating the flood of pictures in the digital world. He will consider how the increasing number of consumers, who document practically every moment of their lives with pictures and videos, can efficiently organize these images so that other people will have access to them.

The two-day photokina event for manufacturers, imaging service providers and photography dealers will take place on 27th and 28th February 2013 in the Koelnmesse Congress Centre North. The conference program will be presented in both German and English (with respective simultaneous translation) and will be rounded out by an evening event on 27th February where visitors, sponsors and speakers will have the opportunity to share ideas and experiences in an informal setting. During the conference, the sponsors of the Business Forum Imaging Cologne will present their innovations and services in the lobby of the Koelnmesse Congress Centre North. Cewe Color, HP and Samsung will participate as Gold Sponsors, while di-support, DNP, Ecce-Terram, Felix Schoeller, Manfrotto and Tetenal will be on hand as Silver Sponsors (as of November 30, 2012).
