Zink Imaging and Polaroid Corporation announce partnership

According to a press release, the Polaroid Digital Instant Mobile Photo Printer will be available in the first half of 2008. Polaroid has plans for numerous additional products using Zink Technology.

Powering these Zink-enabled products is the Zink Paper, a patented composite material with embedded yellow, magenta and cyan dye crystals. The printer uses heat to activate and colorize these crystals.

Separately, Zink Imaging has announced partnership agreements with Alps Eletric Co, Ltd., the Foxconn Technology Group, and Tomy Company Ltd (a toy manufacturer based in Tokyo, Japan).
