Youontv, Oblò’s acclaimed Photo DVD System receives a Patent in the UK.

The "Youontv" service from Oblò Multimedia, the leading developer of advanced multimedia kiosk systems for retailers, was recently awarded a patent by the UK Patent Office, reinforcing the patents already received in other European countries.

Oblò Multimedia’s kiosks line continues to be the first, and only, systems capable of creating multimedia programs from customers’ photos and videos. By combining customer’s digital photos with selections from Oblò’s fully licensed library of high-quality music, consumers are able to rapidly produce at retail their own multimedia slideshow for viewing on PC or TV (via a standard DVD player).

"Youontv" is a professional-quality DVD, complete with an interactive menu, that can be viewed on any TV (choice of PAL or NTSC formats) using a DVD player. The new, improved version not only records pictures accompanied by music, but also incorporates digital video segments, digital camera and camera phone video clips, photo book template pages and creative frame transitions.

The transition effects are made more powerful and absolutely simple to create thanks to the new FaceMatic face detection technology which automatically focuses the effects on a subject’s face in the image. An optional robot disc publisher, integrated into the kiosk, produces the above disc services automatically, saving space and optimizing workflow in the retail environment. Customers’ CDs and DVDs are delivered in a dealer-branded CD or DVD box, printed with a personalized label.

Youontv incorporates a variety of themes and is designed for archiving special photo collections, such as weddings, birthday parties, and other important life moments. This unique DVD service allows the customer to create unique memories tailored to the occasion making sure their special event isn’t forgotten!
