“In his tenure, Ralf‘s leadership amd committment has put Kodak Alaris in a stronger and more future-facing position”, Kodak Alaris said. Jeff Goodman has been with the company since early 2015, having previously served in senior roles at GE and IBM.
Just a few weeks ago, Kodak Alaris had announced plans to shut down its manufacturing plant in Harrow, the UK, where the company produces color negative paper and some of the thermal media for dry printing applications. According to Kodak Alaris, the measure reflects the industy-wide decline of color negative paper consumption; approximately 250 people are affected. Beginning in the fourth quarter 2016, Kodak Alaris will source the majority of its color negative paper from Carestream Health. Located in Rochester, New York, Carestream Health is an independent company that was established in 2007 when Eastman Kodak Company sold its health group to Onex Corporation, Toronto, Canada. According to Kodak Alaris, Carestream Health has a long history of producing Kodak-branded color negative products. The company will continue the manufacturing of thermal media in other Kodak Alaris plants. Kodak Alaris also said it will continue to provide professional and amateur photographers with ongoing supplies of still film and photo chemicals.
