With its proprietary technology, Tracer Imaging has solved the bottleneck problem in the current manufacturing process that occurs when the lens (the lenticular substrate) must be precisely affixed to the photographic image. Tracer’s patent-protected, high-speed robotic manufacturing process perfectly aligns the lens to the photograph with a precise registration and rapidity that is not possible when using current labor-intensive manufacturing methods.
The initial lineup will include zoom and three-image flip effects (3.5 x 5“ and 2 1/8 x 3 3/8“). In the near future, Tracer will introduce two to three second TracerPix video prints, morph, and 3D options. A lineup of specialty products will be introduced including photo magnets, drink coasters, calendars, greeting cards, postcards, key chains, and other products that can be selected by the consumer from a Tracer library of special effects.
TracerPix will be available via retail kiosks in-store and on-line, and through professional imaging channels including sports and event photographers, school photographers and retail portrait studios. In the US, the company has initially contracted with H+H Color labs to serve professional photographers, while Fujifilm USA will be the first to make the service available to consumers through its network of retailing custom
