Exhibitors from the underwater photography sector and renowned companies form the photography and imaging industry will show enthusiasts of this current trend what devices they should use to achieve good picture quality under water. In addition, professionals will be offering workshops, presentations, travel reports and photo and film documentaries to provide other professionals with detailed insights into the entire underwater sector.
The Underwater Imaging World will be rounded out by fascinating examples of the end product, as the best underwater photographs from the Epson Red Sea Contest will be exhibited at this year’s photokina. The Epson Red Sea Contest "World of Underwater Images," which now also features new beginner’s categories, combines the fascinating discipline of scuba diving with photography, extreme sports and environmental protection. The event will also include video clips produced during the competition. The contest’s driving force is David Pilosof (Pilo), a veteran underwater photographer and the creator of the famous "Samantha" photo album. Pilo has taken part in many underwater photography contests himself and he helped shape the underwater and nude photography genres.
