The operating cash flow increased by 20.5 percent to Euro 8.1 million. The operating result was Euro 0.9 million after a loss of Euro 0.4 million in the same period last year.
Sales of Spector’s Mailorder Photofinishing units grew by 8 percent to Euro 24.9 million, while the number of films processed increased by 5.3 percent. The higher turnover per order was mainly due to the sale of additional digital and/or hybrid products and services, according to a Spector press release. During the first three months of this year, 15 out of 100 films were digitized onto CD or Video CD. The number of digital prints ordered via the Group’s websites doubled compared with the same period last year.
The combined turnover of Spector’s retail units increased by 1.9 percent to Euro 52.1 million. Other activities showed a decline of 44.7 percent to Euro 4.5 million. While the photofinishing labs DBM Color (Belgium) and FLT (Italy) as well as the corporate sales performed on budget, the distribution of
photo-related goods via Fotronic (export markets) and Sacap (France) still experienced difficulties.
