Sanyo introduces new full HD Dual Cameras

The Xacti CG20 brings even distant details unerringly into focus with its 5x optical zoom. Innovative technology enables great flexibility when shooting videos on the Xacti GH1 and the Xacti CG100: The 12x Double Range Zoom extends the optical zoom of the camera without any loss of quality, and offers two zoom ranges of different magnitude. The user can switch, as and when required, between a wide angle and a tele-oriented field of view at the touch of a button. This means that sweeping landscapes and distant individual objects can be recorded in equally high-precision detail.

With the three new models, there is no limit to the imaginative pictures that can be taken. The ultra-compact design of the Dual Cameras and their 2.7-inch LCD display, which can be rotated 285 degrees, enables the user to take spontaneous shots. The horizontal designed Xacti GH1 features a Double SUB Rec button that is mounted above the lens, making it easier to take photos and videos when holding the camera in various positions. The ergonomic, vertical shape of the Xacti CG100 and Xacti CG20 makes them easy to operate with one hand.

Due to the intuitive menu guidance system, the Dual Cameras are very simple to operate. Thanks to the Dual Shot feature, it is also possible to take photos while recording videos. Less experienced photo and video fans also benefit from additional features such as the electronic image stabilizer or face chaser function, which automatically detects up to twelve faces when filming or taking photos. Various motif programs automatically provide the user with the optimum settings for the light conditions at the time.

The high-speed serial image feature with up to ten pictures per second (Xacti CG20) captures even the most rapid movement sequences. The super-macro mode allows photos to be taken from as close as one centimetre away from the object.

All three Dual Cameras record the data on an SD, SDHC or SDXC card. Furthermore, these models also support Eye-Fi-SD cards for wireless uploading of data to a computer. Since film recordings are stored in the memory-efficient MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, one 32 GB memory card has enough room up to four hours recordings of full HD videos (1080i). Additionally, there is nothing to prevent three new models from film viewing on a Full HD TV. The Dual Cameras have an HDMI port, which ensures transferring recorded data without any losses

The manufacturer’s recommended retail price for the Xacti CG20 is € 199,00 and for the Xacti GH1 as well as Xacti CG100 € 249,00.
