Samsung Apps’ Brand category will host multiple luxury brand apps that introduce a wide array of products in the fashion, jewelry, automotive and cosmetics segments. All apps will be available on Samsung’s Wave family of smartphones — the Wave, Wave 525, Wave 533, Wave 575 and Wave 723.
“Luxury consumer brands’ mobile applications are becoming more commonplace so as to take advantage of the widespread use of smartphones,” said Kanghyun Kwon, vice president of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics. “The introduction of premium-brand applications not only provides customers up-to-date information about their favorite brands, but it also positions Samsung Apps as a high-value brand itself.”
Samsung Apps will offer programs by Bobbi Brown, in which the cosmetics brand will help women learn how to apply makeup like a pro; Italian luxury fashion house Fendi, with how-to videos, interviews, wallpaper, e-cards and a store locator function; and Make-up by Lancôme, with make-up advice, video tutorials, news and lash diagnostics from the luxury cosmetic brand.
Since its launch, Samsung Apps has increased its scope of service by continuing to support the bada mobile platform globally.Samsung Apps is currently available in112 countries, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Singapore and more.
