“Roy is perhaps the most respected individual within the photographic industry”, said David Ritz, Chairman of Ritz Interactive. “We will benefit greatly from his wisdom and expertise.”
Seperately, Ritz Interactive has launched a new Web site that allows consumers to create professionally printed greeting cards that feature their own digital photos. The new site, www.RitzCards.com, makes it easy for consumers to upload the digital photo of their choice and to incorporate that picture into a one-of-a-kind, high-quality greeting card. Unlike competing “e-card” sites, RitzCards.com’s folded greeting cards are printed on heavy card stock, using an HP Indigo digital offset press. The cards measure 4.25 by 5.5 inches/10.8 by 14 cm (folded size). Prices are as low as $0.75 per card, plus shipping charges and applicable taxes.
The consumer simply logs on to RitzCards.com, uploads a digital photo, chooses a card design, and types in the desired message. The finished cards are delivered to the consumer’s home or office – or any other address – 24 to 48 hours later. RitzCards.com also offers picture-takers their own “library” where they can store favorite photos and re-use them in the future to create new cards.
