They will report directly to Stephen Palmer, Director of Production Print, Ricoh UK, and their efforts will focus on developing and adding value to new and existing customers, as well as ensuring that Ricoh is the preferred digital print partner of choice.
Stephen Palmer, Director of Production Print, Ricoh UK comments: “The senior management team we’ve put in place is extremely experienced in all sectors of the production print market, and is focussed on providing our customers with end-to-end solutions that will provide optimum productivity, cost effectiveness and added value. The new team will concentrate on expanding and nurturing existing business, whilst actively driving the Ricoh brand into the commercial and corporate print markets to develop new business channels and relationships.
Mark Wilson, Business Development Director, Production Print, Ricoh UK has a wealth of industry experience having worked in a number of sales and marketing roles for organisations including Océ, Infotec and Lanier. In his new position, Mr Wilson’s key priorities will be to actively promote and expand Ricoh’s Business Driver Programme in the UK, support the sales and professional print service teams and further develop partnerships with suppliers and customers.
A vital component of Ricoh’s ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction in the production print sector is the company’s Professional Services Team, headed up by Jon Joseph, Production Print Professional Services Manager. Jon and his team are involved at the very early stages of any customer engagement, providing consultancy, analysis, workflow and technical advice. As well as being able to design and develop the best solutions to meet customers’ technical requirements, the team understands the value these solutions bring in terms of productivity and efficiency. The Professional Services Team guides the customer through the design and implementation stages, and provides ongoing ‘post-sales’ consultancy and support, working in conjunction with Ricoh’s dedicated technical and hardware support teams, throughout the period of the contract. Jon’s career to date includes a number of IT, technical and sales roles, most recently with IKON before its integration into Ricoh on April 1st 2010.
Richard Ash, Regional Production Print Sales Director, South and Tim Carter, Regional Production Print Sales Director, North, Scotland and Ireland are responsible for growing Ricoh’s commercial and corporate print business throughout the UK. Both directors have worked in the print industry for many years with organisations such as Océ, HP, Heidelberg, Indigo and Canon, and understand what corporates and commercial printers expect from a manufacturer.
Stephen Palmer concludes: “The strong new sales team combines an extensive product, software and service offering with a robust environmental strategy and significant ongoing investment in research and development. It’s this that will position Ricoh as one of the leaders in the production print sector, delivering high quality, performance and a healthy ROI to its customers.”
