Ricoh launches three new light production digital presses

The systems are ideally suited to meet the needs of print-for-pay providers, digital printers and commercial printers, as well as CRDs and print rooms. They carry a number of unique developments that ensure high image quality and offer a cost effective choice for businesses seeking to expand their medium and short-run print services.

The Pro C751 series features a new laser beam technology, called ‘VCSEL’ (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) that delivers output and resolution of 4800 dpi for precise reproduction. A further key benefit of VCSEL technology is that fine line text is clear and sharp. The Pro C751 series is also unique in the cut-sheet production printing market with its new liquid cooling technology, which optimises developer temperature for improved productivity. It also includes active toner density control, enabling stable colour density across longer runs. Its enhanced Operator Replaceable Units (ORUs) will maximise uptime and productivity while the ability to replace toner on the fly eliminates the need to stop a print run in-between jobs.

The enhanced media handling for textured and speciality media offers print service providers more choice for their clients. A wide range of options are included for increased flexibility: a new multi-folding unit, a large capacity input tray and ring binder, 100-sheets staple finisher, booklet-maker, stacker, GBC StreamPunch Pro EX and Plockmatic booklet maker. The Ricoh Pro C751 series also includes technological advances available on the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition, such as the ability to deliver exceptional productivity, as the Pro C751 series maintains superior printing speeds on a wide range of substrate weights up to 300gsm. Ricoh’s PxP chemical toner provides consistent offset-like quality and smoother shading; and there is an extensive media library with more than 150 profiles tested at the time of launch supported by a custom library for personalised media profiles.
