Since October 1, 2011, Ricoh managed its global imaging system business under the two brands Ricoh and Pentax. Ricoh brand digital cameras were designed, developed and sold by Personal Multimedia Product Company (Ricoh PMMC), an internal organization of Ricoh, while Pentax brand digital cameras were designed, developed and sold by PRI.
To strengthen customer relationships and provide innovative products and services, Ricoh will re-organize its structure.
The new function of RPI will be consumer buisness such as digital cameras, including the company’s development resources to improve capabilities and support of Ricoh branded cameras.
The Ricoh PMMC segment will ifunction B2B businesses including security system business and imaging solutions business.
