PMA occupied the 3000 Picture Place location for more than 30 years. “Our goals and dedication to our members remains strong”, commented Allen Showalter, International President, PMA. ”This change improves the association’s ability to be more effective in developing more beneficial programs,”
“We’ve received a lot of great feedback on the changes here at our home office, especially in areas involving better communication,” added Jim Esp, Executive Director, PMA. “Now it’s time to really beef up our efficiency as it relates to our operating costs.”
Esp said the association is moving forward with its on-going activities, including the upcoming PMA Australia convention, 6Sight Future of Imaging Conference and plans for next years’ conventions for PMA@CES, Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA), Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA), Professional School Photographers Association International (PSPA) and Sports Photographers Association of America (SPAA). Also, PMA is bolstering its year-round certification and education programs.
“As the industry has changed, we’ve needed to do the same,” said Esp. “One great example is PMA magazine, which is now available on line to our members. As a result, the magazine is now more interactive and capable of giving our members more information at a reduced production cost. The savings allows us to invest in other areas and better support our membership.”
