“Scott and I are thrilled to join with PMA to bring a new level of service to aspiring pros and working professional photographers,” says Skip Cohen, president, Marketing Essentials International.
“Over this past year, through GoingPro as well as our careers in the photographic industry, we’ve learned so much about the needs of professional photographers, especially those just starting out,” adds Scott Bourne, president, Bourne Media Group, and cofounder, PWSPI. “We’re going to continue to be involved and help PMA develop the concept further, following our original intent, but now we’ve got the horsepower of one of the largest and oldest associations in photography behind us.”
According to a press release, PMA plans to expand the benefits offered to PWSPI members. In addition, PWSPI will continue to offer and expand their services, such as public print critiques by leading photographers and special exclusive purchase/support benefits from sponsors.
“The acquisition of PWSPI is one more step in the PMA plan to expand our educational presence, and it fits perfectly with CLiQ, launching January 11,” says Ted Fox, executive director, PMA.
