The PMA 2010 U.S. Professional Photographers Report provides professional photographers and studios with an overview of the professional photography market. The report is designed to aid in business planning and product development. The report discusses what types of portraits photographers/studios focus on, what types of products and output they offer, and the portion of customers that bought specific products. The report also delves into methods for producing the various products, factors that affect profit, online ordering, sources of information used, and distribution of copyrights.
The survey was conducted during summer 2010, from the end of July through the beginning of September. The results reflect close to 4,000 usable responses from nine professional imaging labs.
The report is available to PMA members for $99. Non-PMA members can purchase the report for $199.
