Today, the company generates 40 percent of its revenues through the European business in its five country shops where customers can order their printed products online in a quick, safe and convenient way at budget prices in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. More than 800,000 parcels containing printed products left the production department in Neustadt an der Aisch in 2011 to be delivered by UPS to customers in 31 European countries within a few days. For comparison: In 2009, the volume still amounted to 350,000 parcels with European sales at 25 percent. The growth strategy of Onlineprinters GmbH to internationalise the online business has thus proved to be a full success within two years. No growth without qualified employees: In 2011, the number of employees in production and sales has increased from 300 to 350 persons in total.
For Walter Meyer, CEO of Onlineprinters GmbH, increasing demand goes hand in hand with investments: Nine million Euros in 2010 and an additional seven million Euros in 2011 were invested at the company headquarters in the Franconian town of Neustadt an der Aisch to serve the growing European demand for high-quality printed products. To create space, the business premises were nearly doubled at the end of 2010 to reach 40,000 square metres. The production is certified according to ProcessStandard Offset (PSO) and comprises more than 85 printing units. New state-of-the-art 8-colour offset printing machines, processing machines for UV inks and XXL digital printing machines increase output and efficiency while reducing the consumption of resources and costs. "We see ourselves as a strong partner in the complex world of printing. For example, we act as one-stop print partner for agencies, offering everything that is needed for a successful trade fair presentation – stand, product displays, flyers, business cards and brochures. This product service is very well received by our customers", Meyer is pleased to comment on the comprehensive range of printed products in the online shop.
High printing quality, short delivery times and the attractive price-performance ratio compared to conventional print shops are in Walter Meyer’s opinion the reasons for the rapid increase in customers.
