NK Works is working with photo retailers in the disaster area who have been forced to halt their photo services due to severe damage from the earthquake and/or tsunami, providing them with special offers enabling them to begin running their businesses again. The company is lending some affected customers minilabs and related peripheral equipment free of charge, and is also giving away consumables such as paper and ink also to normal. In addition to the photo equipment, the supplies also include everyday items such as batteries, paper plates and cups, instant ramen, etc.
While some of NK Works‘ third party parts suppliers have been affected by the disaster, the company expects only minimal effects, if any, on its production.
