Nikon updates on disaster damages

Nikon operations one plant of its own and seven of its manufacturing subsidiaries in the disastrous region of Miyagi Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture and Ibaraki Prefecture. After Sendai Nikon Corp. and Miyagi Nikon Precision Co., Ltd. reopened March 30, all of these facilities have resumed operations, the company said.

However, the company expressed concerns that the production may be affected by the planned blackouts of electricity.
