Nikon will provide photography classes every year in collaboration with junior high schools in the disaster-stricken areas. Photo books will then be created with selected photographs taken by students and presented to them. In this fiscal year, this project will be held at three junior high schools which Nikon donated digital cameras, and we are looking forward to expanding the scope of this project in the years to come. Nikon plans to continue this photo book making activities as a long-term project in cooperation with the Recovery Assistance Media Team of NPO Visual Media Producers Association.
Nikon will also open the Nikon Plaza Senadi to exhibit photographs, receive cameras repair requests, and promote reconstruction support projects with NPO’s and volunteer organizations. Nikon employees also plan to use this Plaza as a base station for conducting volunteer programs, etc.
