New PMA leadership to grow and develop association

“Right off the bat we need to focus on making PMA@CES 2012 an outstanding show,” say a Esp in an interview to be published in an upcoming issue of PMA Magazine – Connecting the Imaging Communities. “We have all the right ingredients in place. Exhibit space is nearly sold out, but that’s only in the short term.”

In addition, nothing could be more important to Esp than working to develop new educational and support programs for the 10,000 worldwide PMA members. “Included in this effort is a stronger mission statement and better communication systems between all key industry executives in manufacturing, distribution and retail”, he pointed out.

Leading PMA members have already clearly expressed their trust in the new Executive Director. “Our industry is constantly changing,” says Brian Wood, International President, PMA “We need somebody at the helm with strong leadership qualities and an in-depth understanding of the needs of our members. Nobody knows this industry better than Jim or has a stronger willingness to deal with the constant shift in the paradigms where manufacturing and distribution meet retail.”

“Jim’s role as the new Executive Director of PMA comes at a challenging and exciting time for both our industry and the association,” says Neil D. Cohen, PMA Past President and CEO, District Photo Inc., Beltsville, Md. “I’ve worked with him for many years on a variety of different projects and his vast experience makes him the ideal person to lead PMA and strengthen the association going forward!"
