New Managing Director of Fujifilm Europe

Shigehiro Nakajima has been with Fujifilm since 1973 and started his career in the company’s Ashigara production facilities. In 1986, he moved to Fujifilm’s European manufacturing plant in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and worked in the film-emulsion and paper coating divisions. From 1990 to 1996, he obtained several management positions in Corporate Planning and Financing. In 1996, he moved back to the Fujifilm’s headquarters in Japan, but returned to Fujifilm Tilburg, which was renamed Fujifilm Manufacturing Europe B.V. last year, in 2004 as Manager of the Tilburg Research Laboratory and Member of the Board of Directors. In March 2005, Shigehiro Nakajima was appointed President of Fujifilm Tilburg, a position he will keep in addition to his new responsibility as Managing Director of Fujifilm Europe GmbH, Düsseldorf.
