Okada will take over all functions and responsibilities in Europe from his predecessor, including the role as CEO of Fujifilm Europe GmbH, Duesseldorf, Germany, and CEO of Fujifilm Europe B.V. in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Okada graduated from universities both in Japan and the United States and joined Fujifilm in 1979. He held several positions at the corporate head office in Tokyo, among them Manager of Corporate Planning and Corporate Finance Divisions and General Manager Investor Relations Division. Im his latest function as Senior Vice President Corporate Division at Fujifilm Europe, he was responsibie for all corporate affairs including Human Relations, Corporate Finance, Planning, Logistics and Legal departments.
“We are on the way to further strengthen our organization in Europe and will develop the Fujifilm group further as a leading company in many sectors,´´ says Okada. “While developing our strategic growth areas such as printing industry and medical systems, including life sciences, we are actively carrying on our imaging business.´´
