The 3.23-megapixel Rollei dt3200 comes in a compact metal body with a D-Vario Apogon HFT lens. It boasts an optical 3x zoom that delivers a focal length of 35–120 mm in 35 mm camera terms; there is also a 4x digital zoom. The camera has a top shutter speed of 1/1000 sec; macro shots stay sharp down to a distance of 15 cm. Numerous modes can be adjusted with the aid of the 1.6 inch TFT color monitor, including exposure correction (manual, auto, max ± 2.0 EV in 0.5 steps), flash (auto, forced, off, red-eye reduction, night mode) and white balance (individual, manual, presettings: shadow, sunlight, artificial light, fluorescent light). Once captured, the pictures can be saved to the internal 16 MB memory or to optional SD and MM cards.
Video clips can be recorded with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels at a frequency of 15–20 frames per second. The Rollei dt3200, which is supplied with a lithium battery and charger unit, is already in the stores and sports a recommended retail price tag of 299 euros.
