New compact inkjet printer from Fujifilm

According to a press release, the name of “Frontier-S” is a combination of “Frontier”, expressing high quality print of Fujifilm, and the new product concept “S”, standing for “Small” installation space, “Scalable” meaning flexible configuration of multiple printers, and “Smart” business.

“Smartlab” Frontier-S can offer minilab system, self print system and event photo system with combination of maximum 4 printers depending on customers need.

The “Smartlab” Frontier-S enables high quality print with the combination of exclusive inkjet paper, newly developed six ink system “ViViDiA D-Photo” which contains Fujifilm’s unique ozone and light resistant dye and unique image processing technology “Image Intelligence” in its compact body of only 0.2sqm foot print.

It also realizes print speed of 360 prints per hour (4” × 6” print, standard mode). It also supports the two types of color reproduction, which are “Natural color reproduction” and “Vivid color reproduction” mode. Natural color reproduction mode supports the same color reproduction as silver halide prints. Vivid color reproduction mode is suitable to emphasize color tones with higher saturation. Variable print size from 127 mm × 89 mm to maximum 210 mm × 1,000 mm and two types of paper surface of glossy and luster enable customers to offer various print services.
