The Kodak i2800 Scanner, a compact scanner offering numerous user benefits in productivity and efficiency, was named the winner of the Best of FOSE Award in the peripherals category.
Each year, Government Computer News (GCN) staffers, consisting of writers, editors, and researchers judge exhibitors for the Best of FOSE Awards that recognize outstanding and innovative IT products best suited for government use.
The government technology industry relies on document imaging tools to effectively maintain both the accuracy and security of data distribution among employees. On all government levels, including local, state and federal, Kodak Scanners, Software and Services are utilized to meet shared workspace needs as well as records management requirements. The FOSE Conference and Exposition provides a forum between the public and private sector to introduce digital solutions to the government market as well as the international and commercial technology communities.
From desktop to high-volume production, Kodak offers a broad portfolio of document scanning solutions which foster better practices for government employees to organize and monitor content. This year at FOSE booths #1401 and #1402, Kodak’s Document Imaging exhibited a range of professional scanning solutions including the Kodak i2800 Scanner, the Kodak i5600 Scanner, the Kodak i4600 Scanner, the Kodak Scan Station Pro 550 and Kodak Capture Pro Software. EDAC Systems, Inc., a participating reseller in the Kodak Authorized Imaging Reseller Program, also exhibited side-by-side with Kodak at booths #1401 (Kodak) and #1402 (EDAC Systems, Inc.).
The award-winning, Kodak i2800 Scanner, one of three new Kodak i2000 Series Scanners introduced this year, is a compact device offering reliable performance, fast internal processes, and versatile document scanning capabilities, including double-sided materials. While small enough to work as a desktop scanner, high speeds of up to 70 pages per minute (ppm) enable smaller organizations to use the i2800 scanner as a departmental scanner.
Other recently introduced models within the i2000 Series Scanners include the Kodak i2400 Scanner and Kodak i2600 Scanner. The series includes a number of viable features that enable greater ease of use and more consistent image quality. Kodak Smart Touch Scanning feature includes up to nine pre-defined scan-to operations, while Kodak Perfect Page Image Processing Technology helps users to maintain high quality scans, using image sharpening, streak filtering and image hole file for high fidelity images.
