According to Frost & Sullivan, the Enabling Technology of the Year Award is presented to a company that has developed a technology that can benefit or revolutionize the industry. Kodak, a pioneer in the OLED field, was recognized for its development of systems and processes that will enable a future generation of low power, cost-effective OLED lighting systems. This award recognizes Kodak as a leader among major OLED lighting technology companies worldwide.
“Low-cost, energy-efficient OLED solid state lighting is a very promising future application, and is a direct result of Kodak’s continued OLED innovation. We are committed to bringing this technology to market through collaboration with other leading companies,” said Corey Hewitt, Operations Manager and Vice President, Kodak’s OLED Systems Business. “We are delighted to be recognized by a well-respected organization such as Frost & Sullivan. As we continue to develop new applications for Kodak OLED technology, we remain dedicated to finding sustainable solutions that will some day result in cost-effective lighting systems that consume as much as 50 percent less energy”.
Kodak will display the Frost & Sullivan award and will demonstrate its other OLED advances in the company’s exhibit at the upcoming Society for Information Display Conference in San Antonio, Texas (June 1 – 5).
