“With the Prosper S5 Imprinting System, we are broadening market accessibility to Stream Inkjet Technology,” said Kevin Joyce, Worldwide Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak. “Enabling high-speed variable data printing, the Kodak Prosper S5 Imprinting System helps print service providers offer their clients the opportunity to drive greater return on marketing investment through personalized communications.”
Operating at 500 fpm (152 mpm) with a resolution of 600 dpi, the Prosper S5 Imprinting System allows users to print variable data inline, saving time and money over a traditional, two-step process that combines offset pre-printed forms and offline laser imprinting.
With a print width of 10.56 centimeters (4.16 inches) and pigment-based inks that offer fade, scratch and water resistance, the Prosper S5 Imprinting System increases throughput and eliminates the need for additional standalone print devices. In addition, output from the Prosper S5 Imprinting System achieves outstanding permanence with no additional coating needed.
The Kodak Prosper Spot Color Matching Service, available later this year for the Prosper S5 and S10 Imprinting Systems, will enable printers to match specific logo colors or corporate brand colors for their clients.
