Designed for inline digital printing on high-speed web devices, the Prosper S10 Imprinting System delivers offset class, variable data printing with significant savings on production costs for direct mail, inserts, transactional documents and other applications.
“The support we get from Kodak, combined with our experience of outstanding product reliability, gives me great confidence that the new Prosper S10 Imprinting System will help me bring more value to my customers,” said Tommy Leung, President of Instant Data Forms. “With its higher image quality, it can also help us expand into other applications. I’m confident this investment will bring me success just like the Kodak Versamark DS6240 Printing System did when we purchased it 15 years ago. We have found that Kodak Solutions offer low total cost of ownership and are highly reliable.”
A family-owned business founded in 1979, Instant Data Forms serves companies in a number of industries, including banking, insurance, transportation, tourism and entertainment. In addition to Aidifu Stationery Co. Ltd., it also operates a joint venture with security printer Thomas Greg & Sons Ltd. “This is another important milestone for Kodak Stream Inkjet Technology. We are excited to have Instant Data Forms take delivery of the first commercially available Prosper S10 Imprinting System in the world,” said Kevin Joyce, Worldwide Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak. “As the first product in the Prosper Platform, the S10 Imprinting System represents a new way of thinking about digital printing in an offset environment. The demand for variable data printing is on the rise as print service providers work to give their clients greater return on marketing investment at the lowest total cost of ownership.”
The Prosper S10 Imprinting System, which features flexible mounting options, integrates seamlessly with web offset presses and web finishing equipment to add variable data to offset printed materials. Operating at 1,000 fpm (305 mpm) with a resolution of 600 dpi, it allows users to print variable data inline, saving time and money over a traditional, two-step process that combines offset pre-printed forms and offline laser imprinting.
With a print width of 10.56 centimeters (4.16 inches) and pigment-based inks that offer fade, scratch and water resistance, the Prosper S10Imprinting System increases throughput and eliminates the need for additional standalone print devices. In addition, output from the Prosper S10Imprinting System achieves outstanding permanence with no additional coating needed.
