Customers can help liberate Mark by freeing their own Facebook photos with the new My Kodak Moments Facbook App, or by accessing their Facebook photos on a Kodak Picture Kiosk and creating a free 8×10 collage.
The My Kodak Moments App is available on Facebook and can also be found by visiting www.kodak.com/go/freeMark. On this website, users are also able to find live footage of Mark in the box, testimonials of customers who have tried the app, and a ticker keeping track of how close Kodak is to reaching the one million goal.
“Think about it – billions of pictures are just crying out to be liberated from the world wide web and enjoyed off-line, in people’s hands,” said Mark Malkoff. ”I’ve decided to take a stand and climb behind a glass wall to see what it’s like for a few days!"
“By putting Mark and his photos in this box, we are demonstrating the need to free the billions of photos stored on Facebook and encouraging consumers to do more with them,” said Larry Trevarthen, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Retail Systems Solutions, Eastman Kodak Company. “We created solutions like the new My Kodak Moments App and the ability to connect to Facebook from a Kodak Picture Kiosk, for stories that are worth more than just a status update.”
The new My Kodak Moments App allows customers to turn their Facebook Photos into high quality printed keepsakes or to create a premium photo book using photos downloaded directly from their Facebook Albums and their friends’ (in compliance with Facebook’s Privacy Rules). With just a few simple clicks, it’s easy to add photos, pull captions, change layouts and designs and order a photo book directly on Facebook for fast delivery to their home. (Services are currently only available in the USA).
In addition, Kodak is offering US customers a free 8×10 instant collage until December 11. By “liking” Kodak ion Facebook during this time period, users will be able to download a coupon to print one free 8×10 Collage using their Facebook Photos at a Kodak Picture Kiosk. Retail partners participating in Free Collage Week include CVS/Pharmacy locations across the U.S., as well as all Bartell Drugs and Discount Drug Mart stores.
