ISAG: New bookpress perfectPress

According to a press release, by using perfectPress, book blocks get a firmer structure and a more compact book spine. Additionally, this final book pressing has a positive impact on the straightness of the photo book, resulting in an increase of quality.

perfectPress can be used as stand-alone unit as well as inline solution and is fully integrated in the bookbinding systems fastBlock and fastBook Professional.

An optional 90-degree-transfer solution ensures space-saving production, while the book blocks will be transported from the bookbinding system, e.g. fastBlock or fastBook Professional, to the book press in parallel direction.

Additionally, a bar code printer with conveyor provides an improved order management. Therefore, the book block will be aligned in a first step, before the bar code is printed in the running direction. As an option, bar code printing transversely to the running direction is available, too. Finally, the inkjet printed bar code can be read out by a scanner.
