The unique device, which is not (yet) commercially available, should come with a built-in 16 GB mass storage, Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 4:3 touchscreen, double lens (the first for main capture, the second for 3D filters, webcam applications and QR Code capturing), optical zoom and LED Flash. By means of an internal printer using paper cartridges with Instagram Paper and dedicated 4 colors ink tanks, Instagram photos can be turned into physical pictures. The operating software platform InstaOs 1.0 is said to put together Facebook and Instagram App features.
On the front side, every printed Instagram photo displays the Instagram nickname of the photographer and a QR code that can be followed by other Instagrammers by simply pointing his/her Socialmatic on the QR Code.
The Instagram Paper Sheets came with a glue strip an the back, making it possible to share the picture in the real world just like a Post-It. On the bottom of the front side of the printed photo, there is a dedicated space to write something. According to ADR-Studio, Instagram Socialmatic is only a concept. But, the company added, maybe, it could became real.
