Imaging Solutions Creates pilotLab in Regensdorf – The PURUS workflow in practice

Under the PURUS concept, the company is developing software and hardware for central labs, online service providers, minilab chains, greeting card manufacturers etc. for the production of value added photo products, photo calendars, post and greeting cards on real photo paper in purePhoto quality.

pilotLab will begin operation later this autumn where Imaging Solutions will demonstrate to interested customers and laboratory staff how the PURUS workflow functions in practice. pilotLab will also be used by the engineers of the R&D department of the Swiss high-tech specialists to test new devices and systems to optimize production workflows.

The new pilot laboratory can also act as OEM supplier for Imaging Solutions’ customers. Those who have not installed their own production lines for value added photo products can order photo books, photo calendars, post and greeting cards to be produced here. This will allow them to test new concepts and gain experience with the new products prior to committing to a capital purchase decision.

The product program of the new laboratory will include photo post cards in different sizes, folded greeting cards and seven different versions of photo books – from the pocket book sized 9.6 x 10.6 cm (3.8" x 4.2") up to the representative, cloth-bound illustrated book in the large format 19,4 x 28,6 cm (7.6" x 11.3"). Customized calendars in the formats 18.5 x 30 cm (7.3" x 11.8") and 21.6 x 11 cm (8.5" x 4.3") with Wire-O Binding will also be produced. Other formats or cover options are also possible.
