Visitors to the show will find over 100 major photo and digital companies from Australia and overseas showcasing the cutting-edge developments and trends in imaging technology, software and output printing systems.
Organized by the Photo Imaging Council of Australia (PICA), the show has over 10,000 square metres of exhibition space plus a half kilometre display of photography. All major camera brands are represented, including Agfa, Canon, Casio, Contax, Elmo, Epson, Fuji, Hanimex, Hasselblad, Ilford, Kodak, Konica, Leica, Mamiya, Minox, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Polaroid, Ricoh, Rollei, Samsung, Sony, Yashica and Zeiss.
A special purpose build theatre on the exhibition floor will host the annual quest to find the Professional Photographer of the Year and the selection of the Australian Professional Photography Awards. The judging process will be done in open forum, so that anyone may come along and watch the process.
In addition to the equipment exhibition, for the duration of Photo Imaging, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre will be hosting the largest current exhibition of photography in the world. It will also be the largest display of photo images ever held in Australia.

Concurrently with the show, Photo Marketing Association International will hold a series of conferences for professional photographers, digital image-makers and photo retailers.
