IFA Special Edition without Samsung

Samsung Electronics has decided not to participate in the IFA Special Edition 2020, which is to be held September 3 to 5, 2020, in Berlin, Germany. Instead, the company wants to present its innovations this year at its own digital event in early September. Samsung is looking forward to continuing its collaboration with IFA in the future, the company told the German news agency, dpa.

Since big trade shows currently cannot be held due to the Covid19 pandemic, IFA is to take place this year as a “Special Edition”, a three-day event to which only accredited visitors are admitted.

This year, IFA will focus on its core functions in four independent events: IFA Global Press Conference for keynotes and press conferences of global brands, IFA Global Markets as a sourcing show, IFA Next meets Shift Mobility as a central innovation platform, and the IFA Business, Retail and Meeting Lounges. Comprehensive health and safety guidelines apply to the event, which are developed in coordination with the German health authorities and Messe Berlin.
