High resolution ínkjet minilab from Noritsu

The new inkjet minilabs comes with all features of the popular D1005, including Noritsu’s innovative 4-color dye ink system that uses six gradations per dot and a specially formulated, fade-resistant ink designed to withstand ozone and light. By means of the Noritsu AccuSmart image processing technology, it provides powerful image optimization and correction functions that work automatically to produce high quality results.

The D1005 HR supports both roll paper (Noritsu’s proprietary inkjet paper glossy/semi glossy) as well as sheet paper in different surfaces, paper weights and thicknesses in formats from 210 x 305 mm up to 306 x 635 mm. It is capable of producing both single-sided and double-sided prints, enabling the production of a wide range of picture products from standard prints to greeting cards, calendars, posters and photo books.

Using the print channels on the EZ Controller, the user can switch between 720 dpi resolution and the new 1440 dpi resolution, making it possible to give priority to capacity for certain jobs and give preference to the utmost quality for others.

Dual, two-lane magazines enable flexible paper configuration with a maximum paper width of 12 inches and the ability to load up to four paper rolls. The system supports automatic order sorting and is the first dry minilab to use LED lights on the 12-order print sorter to signify interrupted orders.

The 1005 HR has a capacity of 950 prints per hour (720dpi) and can process up to 3,800 prints without the need to change paper. It is scheduled for shipment from December 2010, then replacing the current D1005. An optional upgrade kit for existing D1005 minilabs will become available at the same time.
