According to a press release, initially two ranges are to be introduced, Ilford Archiva Prestige offering the ultimate quality in Portfolio boxes, Portfolio negative storage and Shoeboxes (for vertical storage of smaller print formats) from 6” x 4” up to A1 in Burgundy, and Ilford Archiva Gallery offering a value for money range of two tray boxes, again from 6”x 4” up to A1 in Black.
Harman Archival Product Manager Andrew Collins said in a press release: “We have been working on bench marking the currently available print archival systems and conducting market research on a worldwide basis since late 2013. From this we have set out, based on our extensive knowledge of photographic processes to produce a market leading range of products that in common with all ILFORD PHOTO products reflect the ultimate in quality and performance in the market. After assessing all the options available it is why we chose to partner exclusively with a manufacturer based in England, G. Ryder & Co. who share our ultimate quality ethos.”
The new Ilford Archiva range will be officially launched at photokina; the products themselves will be available at Ilford Photo resellers around the world in the fourth quarter of 2014.
