During these two decades, he contributed significantly to develop the formerly almost unknown Japanese company to a leading minilab supplier in Germany. Even at the time of the Iron Curtain, he made contacts with photofinishers in the former Eastern Block and after 1989, he was instrumental to build up Noritsu’s minilab business in these countries. Customers, colleagues and even competitors liked his honesty, fairness and uprightness combined with a unique sense of humor and – in its best sense – human touch.
He will be missed not only by his family, but also by many people in the photo and imaging industry including his former colleagues and the editorial team of INTERNATIONAL CONTACT.
