Fujifilm establishes a subsidiary in Vietnam

Having achieved the economic growth of 7 to 8 percent per annum over the last few years, Vietnam has emerged as one of the marketplaces that are expected to maintain strong growth. In the medical field in particular, the Vietnamese government has been promoting the construction of medical institutions, with the aim of improving the quality of medical care in the country. This is expected to bring a substantial growth also in the medical product market.

Fujifilm has worked through local distributors to expand the sales of medical products, such as digital diagnostic X-ray imaging systems, X-ray films and endoscopes, in the Vietnamese market. With the expansion of the market, the company has decided to set up a local subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City to further reinforce the sales of such products.

With rapid growth expected in the Southeast Asian market, Fujifilm will strive to establish itself as the leading company in the medical field, while contributing to improve the quality and efficiency of medical care, promoting the maintenance of good health and enhancing the quality of life among the local population.
