Fuji acquires US-industrial inkjet printhead manufacturer

According to a press release, Dimatix is the world leader in the research, development, manufacture and sale of printheads used in industrial inkjet printers, which are increasingly being used in outdoor advertising and the production of packaging materials. The company supplies printheads and provides after-sales service to printer manufacturers and other users. With its advanced piezoelectric printheads, Dimatix has achieved a significant share in the world market.

In February 2005, Fujiilm acquired the British Sericol Group, a supplier of UV inks for industrial inkjet applications. In February this year, Fujifilm purchased Avecia Inkjet Ltd., also based in the UK, a manufacturer of dyes for inks used in inkjet printers.
