The 2014 list is separated into 57 industries from a variety of business areas. With input from executives, directors and analysts, close to 700 companies from 30 countries around the world were analyzed and ranked based on various criteria.
The computer category is led by Apple, which was also selected number one in all categories, followed by Amazon and Google. The only company selling imaging products that made it into the top 50 pf the Fortune list was samsung Electronics (number 21 in all categories).
